One of our most popular items. This is a historical drink in Mexican culture, dating back to the early 1900's. Originally brewed in a clay pot by the Adelitas, the women soldiers who not only cooked and cared for the wounded, but also fought against government forces during the Mexican revolution.
This traditional style Mexican coffee is brewed in a body of aromatic spices with Latin sugar cane, otherwise known as piloncillo. Café de Olla, or translated to pot of coffee, is common to the rural areas of Mexico. While the exact recipe may differ from place to place, you can still find the delicious drink using the same traditional process involving a clay pot and a variety of Mexican spices, delivering a unique and flavourful coffee.
